How Does League of Legends Vision Score Work?

There are three ways to increase your League of Legends Vision Score:

  • Ward Lifetime Provided: Each minute of a ward lifetime grants up to 1 point, depending on how effective the ward was.
  • Ward Lifetime Denied: Getting a ward takedown (earned gold from a ward's death) grants 1 point for every minute of lifetime remaining on the ward (permanent wards are worth 1.5 minutes of remaining lifetime).
  • Vision Mechanics: Multiple vision-providing mechanics have a baseline score on-use (typically 0.1 to 0.5), and can also give bonus scores if revealing unseen champions or epic monsters (usually 0.1 to 1.0).

This means that if you want to increase your Vision Score, you should be placing wards whenever they are available. Keep in mind that Vision Scores help the whole team, not just you, so take advantage of them.
