Reinhardt Overwatch 2 Rework Detailed

Reinhardt has been given a fair bit of a rework. Not quite as much as a hero like Doomfist, but more so than D.Va. A number of his abilities will see a few changes:

  • Base armor increased from 200 to 300
  • Base health increased from 300 to 350

Steadfast

  • Removed and replaced by Tank passive

Barrier Field

  • Health reduced from 1600 to 1200
  • Regeneration rate reduced from 200 to 144 health per second

Charge

  • Steering turn rate increased by 50%
  • Can now be manually cancelled
  • Charge Pin wall impact damage reduced from 300 to 225
  • Cooldown from 10 to 8 seconds

Fire Strike

  • Now has 2 ability charges
  • Damage reduced from 100 to 90

While Reinhardt has seen some increases to both his base health and shield, abilities like Barrier Field have taken a significant nerf. However, an attack like Fire Strike may have had its damage reduced to 90, but has also been given two charges.

Of course, Reinhardt isn't the only hero who's been given a rework for Overwatch 2. The likes of Orisa, Doomfist, and more have received some significant changes.
