Nest Nodes are a recurring feature in Back 4 Blood. Here's how to destroy them.
Players making their way through Turtle Rock Studios' Back 4 Blood will eventually encounter Nest Nodes. These grotesque masses can be found attached to certain areas, blocking the way forward. You'll notice a trail of red tendrils, created by the Ridden, all leading up to a center point that usually blocks an entryway of some sort. This is where you'll find the Nest Nodes.
There'll be many objectives throughout the game asking you to rid the area of these fleshy abominations. Here's what you need to know.

— Back 4 Blood (@back4blood) October 12, 2021How to Destroy Nest Nodes in Back 4 Blood
As you follow the path left by the bizarre tendrils to the main center point, you'll need to begin your search for the Nodes. Certain tendrils will appear to be glowing, with small illuminated sections seen along it. Following these tendrils should lead you to another mass, containing some larger glowing orbs. Naturally, you'll need to destroy these glowing pustules, but be warned, it's not that easy.
As soon as you destroy one orb, a horde of Ridden will descend upon your group. It won't be a huge number, but certainly large enough to cause some problems if you're not careful. Wipe out the horde and then move onto the next tendril. Try to only tackle one orb at a time. Destroying more than one will unleash another horde, and you could quickly find yourself being overwhelmed from multiple angles.
After all the Nest Nodes have been dealt with, the way forward should open up. It's a simple task but one that shouldn't be taken lightly; poor coordination could lead to the group's demise.
Back 4 Blood is out now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PCs.
