Returning players are curious about whether or not MLB The Show 21 has an Online Franchise mode.
In prior titles within the MLB The Show series, players were able to go head to head in an Online Franchise mode. Essentially, it was the end-all-be-all of competitive play between MLB players—allowing them to basically enjoy the entire game together and determine who really was the better manager of a fictional fantasy baseball team.
Imagine their surprise when they launched MLB The Show 21 for the first time to find the option missing.

Does MLB The Show 21 Have Online Franchise?
Unfortunately, no. MLB The Show 21 does not have an Online Franchise mode. Players can still play with their friends online, of course, just not through Franchise.
This may come as a bit of a disappointment to players given the upgrades Sony made to the mode in this new iteration. The company greatly expanded what players can do with budgeting their team and trading members in The Show 21. They even went as far as to insert a feature that predicts the career of players within their position going forward.
Sony has not released any statements regarding the possibility of adding an online capability to mirror previous games post-launch.
