Rotgut in WoW Shadowlands is another challenging pet battle. This quest gives pet battlers a nice challenge, or those who want to switch up their main forms of content a new type of challenge.

Similar to a more challenging Pet Battle Quest like Bastion's Micro Defense Force, Rotgut's Pet Battle Quest may have players hit a brick wall if they don't have the right Pets for the job.
Just like other Pet Battle Quests covered, it's best to challenge Rotgut with a full team of level one pets, as Rotgut's team will scale down with you. While you are limiting your move pool, more importantly, you limit Rotgut's move pool to avoid more of his dangerous attacks if his Pets are level one.
Of all the Pets you may or may not have collected over the years of playing WoW, assemble your team with one aquatic pet, one mechanical pet, and one beast pet.
For your aquatic pet, it's best if one of their moves is Water Jet, as that move a priority. You want to use Water Jet on Rotgut's first pet, then switch.
Continuing, switch to your beast pet that preferably has Claw, to deal a nice chunk of damage on Rotgut's second pet.
Finally, for Rotgut's third and final pet, any mechanical pet will do that can chip away at Rotgut's final tanky monster. If possible, use a damage over time move on Rotgut's final pet, as the max health damage will do wonders at chipping away at tanks.
