Amazon Games' New World Subscription Explained

New World will not be making players pay a subscription fee to play. Instead, it will employ a "buy-to-play" model. Players simply need to pre-order the game before its launch or purchase it through the appropriate retailers once it releases on Aug. 31. Its official price point is $39.99 for the standard version and $49.99 for the deluxe. Players can find it listed both on Amazon and Steam.

There will be items available for purchase within the game, however.

Unfortunately for console fans and iOS users, New World is only available for Windows PCs. It can be pre-ordered up until the moment of its launch in late August.

While the beta periods were primarily available for players within the United States and parts of Europe, the team is currently working on launching global servers in time for New World's launch. According to the FAQ on the game's website, they "are working to determine where global servers should be for launch on August 31, 2021."
