Could a Shadowlands fishing mount be coming to World of Warcraft?
World of Warcraft (WoW), like many MMORPGs throughout the decades, is known for its hobbies and side professions players can pick up. Fishing is one of the most common—providing adventurers with a peaceful break from questing. It also tends to pair well with cooking which several players rely on for buffs and status boosters. Previously, WoW has introduced both water-walking and underwater mounts.

There are currently no plans from neither Blizzard Entertainment nor the Warcraft development team to implement a fishing mount in-game anytime soon.
However, this doesn't mean players should be skipping out on their profession. In WoW, fishing is known as a "secondary profession," meaning it can be picked up by any player at any time regardless of their first or "primary" profession active. To learn the fishing skill in Shadowlands, all they need to do is visit Retriever Au'prin, the fishing trainer, in Oribos' Hall of Shapes. Additionally, they will find Distributor Au'nagl, the fishing vendor, nearby.
There are six new fish to reel-in in Shadowlands. From most common to rarest, they are the Lost Sole, Silvergill Pike, Pocked Bonefish, Iridescent Amberjack, Spinefin Piranha, and Elysian Thade. Both the Sole and the Thade can be caught in all four zones. However, the Pike, Bonefish, Amberjack, and Piranha can only be caught in Bastion, Maldraxxus, Ardenweald, and Revendreth, respectively.
