Gothita's return to the Pokemon world in Pokemon Sword and Shield may have raised a few eyebrows, since the lack of a national Pokedex had some players wishing for other inclusions over this... odd little pocket monster. Either way, since Gothita made it into the game, we thought it was only fair to give you all the info you'd need.
Gothita Location in Pokemon Shield
Those paying close attention to the headline may have noticed, but Gothita is actually exclusive to Pokemon Shield. In that game, she can be found around Giant's Cap. Don't fret though, Sword players, all you have to do to get your hands on Gothita is find a good friend who owns Shield and convince them to part ways with their gothic terror-baby in a trade.
Gothita Evolution
At level 32, Gothita sizes up and becomes Gothorita, larger in size and much more potent. This Pokemon still retains it's Mono-psychic type, and continues that into its next evolution at level 41, where it becomes Gothitelle.
Finally all grown up, Gothitelle is a powerful ally to have on any team for a variety of reasons, including the Gothita line's hidden Shadow Tag ability, which prevents opponents from running or switching Pokemon by normal means. Gothita's line is one of only three Pokemon species to have this ability, the others being the Wobbuffet line, and Mega Gengar exclusively
